All Case Managers are required to work in person at our Westwood, Los Angeles office, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Remote, hybrid, and work-from-home arrangements are NOT offered for this position. This requirement is non-negotiable.

Position Overview
An established tax resolution firm in the Westwood area of Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Tax Resolution Case Manager to oversee individual, business, and complex tax debt cases from initial intake through completion.
This is not an entry-level position. Qualified applicants must have direct tax resolution experience, at least one year of professional tax preparation experience, and a strong working knowledge of IRS collections, tax compliance, and resolution procedures.
The Case Manager will review financial and tax records, identify compliance issues, coordinate resolution strategies, monitor case progression, and maintain consistent client communication. This role requires sound judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to independently manage multiple active cases in a fast-paced professional environment.
The selected candidate will collaborate with tax resolution management, senior tax professionals, attorneys, CPAs, and cross-functional support teams. No travel is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage individual, business, and complex tax resolution cases from intake through completion.
- Review IRS transcripts, filing histories, collection activity, and outstanding tax liabilities.
- Collect, organize, and analyze financial records, tax returns, and supporting documentation.
- Evaluate appropriate resolution options, including Offers in Compromise (OIC), Installment Agreements (IA), Partial Payment Installment Agreements (PPIA), Currently Not Collectible (CNC) status, and penalty abatement.
- Prepare and coordinate IRS and state tax resolution documentation.
- Coordinate with authorized tax professionals regarding IRS and state agency communications.
- Identify outstanding filing requirements, collection deadlines, and urgent case matters.
- Track case progression, follow-up activities, and deadlines across multiple client files.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, detailed case notes, and organized documentation.
