Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Technical Designer- Junior Apparel to join our Sweater Division .

The ideal candidate will have experience in the fashion industry, with a focus on junior apparel, and a strong ability to collaborate across teams. If you have previous experience and you are interested in taking your career to the next adventure, we encourage you to apply today!

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop technical packages.
\n
• Understand and correct paper patterns and grading rules.
\n
• Measure and prepare garments for all fitting sessions.
\n
• Possess knowledge of spec, yarns, gauze, and weight for sweaters, as well as content and weight of fabrics for woven and knits.
\n
• Participate in fit sessions, collaborating with the designer and production team to achieve the desired aesthetic.
\n
• Communicate fit and balance corrections to relevant parties.
\n
• Take detailed notes, including pictures, at fittings and convey all fit components to vendors and buyers.
\n
• Create grading rules for production items and develop proto-tech packs as needed.
\n
• Generate initial tech packs.
\n
• Thrive in a fast-paced fashion environment.
\n
• Document comprehensive notes, including photographs, during fittings, and relay all fit details to both the vendor and buyer.
\n
• Collaborate closely with Design, Production, and Sales teams.
\n

Requirements:

• Knowledge and understanding of the nature of fabrics in Junior and Missy items, along with an awareness of fit trends.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills supporting a team environment.
\n
• Strong time management skills and project completion abilities.
\n
• Adaptability to recognize and respond to changing work demands.
\n
• Goal-oriented with a focus on creating winning results.
\n
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
\n
• Strong team player and self-motivated, demonstrating collaboration and proactivity.
\n
• Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
\n
• Emphasis on teamwork.
\n
• A Bachelor's degree in textile/pattern-related majors is a plus.
\n
• 3+ year of experience required.
